Pamela Lanz opened Pamela’s Foot Care Service in June 2011. She took a course while she worked as a nurse beforehand to learn about the trade and could instantly see herself doing it professionally. She went door to door, purchased advertisements and reached out to Community Futures Entre-Corp for support the same month and year to start Pamela’s Foot Care Service.
“They’ve helped me from the very beginning and the whole experience has been so comforting.” says Lanz.
She remembers the process being simple and straightforward. She filled out an application, presented a business plan and shortly after they supported her and her business. “They’ve been really good to me throughout the years and I am really grateful for their help,” says Lanz. “I couldn’t have grown my business without them.”
Lanz always followed the health board guidelines in her workplace. With support from Community Futures Entre-Corp during the pandemic in 2020, she was able to purchase upgraded cleaning supplies and tools to ensure her facility meets all health code guidelines and keeps her clients comfortable.
“I got a podiatry chair, which raises, tilts and repositions legs for comfort,” she says. “
Lanz would scrub her tools by hand before. She can now set them in the ultrasonic machine, where it deep cleans each tool, and afterwards Lanz just lightly scrubs the materials to finish the job. Lanz runs her business both in her office and mobile, where she travels to her clients. After 10 years, her passion still thrives and she looks forward to the many opportunities Community Futures Entre-Corp has brought for her.
“I really can’t thank Community Futures enough.”
