After moving back home to Medicine Hat, Emilie Soper opened Nexus Orthotics in December 2022. The start-up costs were a concern for the experienced business owner, but Taylor Hardekopf, Digital Service Squad expert was able to build a website for Soper for free.
“The website is a big expense, and it’s a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. Taylor listened and delivered exactly what I wanted, so overall the experience was really good,” says Soper.
The business owner graduated with her kinesiology science degree, and worked with a company that would lead her into the orthotics industry. She became certified and is eager to bring these services to Medicine Hat.
“I had someone walk in and say Medicine Hat really needs this. It’s exciting to offer more options and quality products for people in Medicine Hat,” says the business owner.
Now that the website is complete, Hardekopf is assisting Soper with a social media content plan. It’s important to be able to drive traffic to the website with strong search engine optimization (SEO), and social media plays a crucial role in this.
“Having SEO is incredibly important, and the website will only strengthen this further. The greatest thing about the Digital Service Squad is that it’s free.
